We've all seen the movie Frankenstein, right? Man creates a monster by piecing him together. Your tech stack might be looking similar if you're using a rotating cast of integrations and tools to maintain it. I'm here to drop some knowledge on your tech stack. If your tech stack has been acting monster-ish lately, it may be time for a change. Having a functional, powerful tech stack to power your business is an integral part of executing your inbound marketing strategy.

Transcript:

We all know the story of Frankenstein, right. There's this genius doctor and he decides he's going to recreate life, build almost a human type creature. So he starts by grabbing two legs and he sews on a torso, two arms, and a head. And by a stroke of genius, it comes to life. The doctor celebrates. He's so proud of his creation.

And after about five minutes, it all unravels. The creature is actually hideous. It's ugly, it's disjointed. It's not moving and working properly. It's rejected by society. And a lot of companies fall into that same trap when creating their tech stack.

We know we need software. Software was created to help us grow better, to be more efficient in everything that we do. We start by getting a sales software then a marketing software, finance and customer service. We build a website and have digital assets and we need reporting tools to tell us how everything is working.

But then it doesn't seem to work together. It becomes disjointed, we have to download this report, upload it into Excel, upload it into this new software, reconfigure it so that we're getting the data properly. The team forgets the login password or they start taking shortcuts and it's no longer working the way it was originally intended to. We've bought the software five years ago. We're no longer using it and it's just kind of sitting to the wayside. We're just paying that bill.

If you can resonate with any of these pieces, it is time to run a tech stack audit. It is time to take control of that tech stack.

Taking control of your tech stack is of the utmost importance if you're going to grow efficiently and grow better. If you don't know how to start, you want to take a look at where you're spending the money. Can we save cost by cutting out some of this software? Can we consolidate to make life easier? To alleviate some of those headaches?

For example, HIVE is a huge proponent of HubSpot, right? Because it has the CRM, the marketing automation, sales automation, customer service. It hosts the website. And that makes reporting so much easier because it all lives under one house.

So is there a software that's going to be able to consolidate, do everything that you're doing with six or seven different pieces under one house? Take a look at pieces that you might need to add to help you grow better, to make life more efficient. But run that text that tech stack audit. Take control of your tech stack and it'll help you guys grow.

If you have questions, don't know where to start, I would absolutely love to be a resource for you. If you want to set up a HubSpot demo, I would love to be a resource for you. But taking control of that tech stack will alleviate that headache and really help you guys grow. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch this, guys. And keep buzzing!

Sometimes Less Tech is More

If you've read our other blog posts or about us as an agency, you realize we are huge proponents of HubSpot. And many times we see these Frankenstein tech stacks happen because someone wants the functionality of HubSpot, but they aren't ready or willing to pay the price. However, those people tend to come back to us, either when their stack doesn't meet their expectations or when they end up spending the same amount on multiple components that don't work well together.

One of the benefits of HubSpot is knowing that ALL COMPONENTS not only work together, but are built for each other and the reporting easily covers all aspects of your business. Your deals in HubSpot Sales can trigger actions in the Marketing or Service Hubs within HubSpot. And all of that activity from start to finish is captured by HubSpot to be used in a report or dashboard. And those reports can be shared even outside of the HubSpot user base.

Your HubSpot Solutions Partner & Inbound Marketing Experts

Here at HIVE we are well versed in handling unwieldy tech stacks and navigating for clients how to optimize use of a HubSpot stack.  As mentioned above, we want to be your tech stack solution partner. We can help you take control of your tech stack and make sure you don't create a monster. And if HubSpot is the right choice for your streamlined stack, we can help you get the best deal.
